Claim Submission

After visiting the doctor or hospital, you will need to file a claim for each new injury or illness with Point Comfort directly. You can complete the Claimant Questionnaire through the online Insurance Portal. You’ll want to be sure to include any relevant documents, including medical records, itemized bills, and any receipts from your visit. This will need to be completed within 24 hours of your visit.

Before seeking medical care, you will need to pre-notify your visit with Point Comfort. Within 24 hours of actually seeking medical care, you will need to submit the following documents to Point Comfort:

  1. Completed Claim Questionnaire
  2. A copy of your passport
  3. Medical reports and records
  4. Receipts from any prescription or out-of-pocket payments
  5. Any other documents required by Point Comfort as outlined in PART V — Document Requirements in your Certificate of Insurance.

    When a claim is processed, you will have access to an Explanation of Benefits (also called an EOB). This will explain how your claim has been processed or if any additional information has been requested that you will need to submit.

  • I paid for my visit upfront. What should I do next? If you were required to pay for your visit, you will want to file a claim with Point Comfort to be reimbursed for your eligible medical expenses. Be sure to complete a claim form, and include a copy of the invoice, receipts, and medical records with your claims submission. You can follow up with Point Comfort periodically to check on the status of your claim and make sure it’s processed as quickly as possible.
