While in the USA, your insurance plan includes access to DialCare, supporting you in your time of need. DialCare is a virtual and telephonic counseling service focused on providing safe, secure, and private means of seeking mental health assistance from licensed counselors.


Getting Started

Before you speak with a counselor, you will need to activate your account so you can schedule a Virtual Emotional Wellness Visit.

Please note — there may be some circumstances where DialCare will treat a condition that your insurance plan does not cover. If you are given a referral for an ineligible injury or illness, these costs will not be covered under your insurance plan when you submit a claim. Please review your policy certificate, in the MyDocuments section of your Student Zone, for your full plan benefits and exclusions.

  • Why am I having trouble registering for DialCare?

    There could be a few reasons why you cannot register for the Dialcare service. The most common reasons include:
    • Your program has not started — You will not be able to register for the DialCare service until after your insurance plan has started. If you aren’t sure when your plan starts, check your insurance ID card to confirm your plan's effective date, or ask your sponsoring organization.
    • You entered your name incorrectly — You will need to use your first and last name exactly how they appear on your insurance ID card.
    • You entered the wrong ID number — You will need to enter your IMG Insured ID, which can be found on your insurance ID card.
    • You’re not in the United States — DialCare is only available for US programs. If your program does not include the United States, you cannot register for the service. You will need to be located in the United States to access the DialCare website and register for your account.

  • What conditions can DialCare help with?

    DialCare’s mental health professionals are trained to aid in depression, stress, eating disorders, addiction, relationship problems, anxiety, grief, and more.
  • How do I use DialCare?

    Members can access their account 24/7, but appointments will be held between 7am to 10pm, seven days a week online, over the phone, or through the DialCare mobile app. DialCare counselors will reach out via phone or video chat upon request, and each appointment is scheduled for 30 minutes. Follow-up sessions may be scheduled, and you can request the same counselor you previously consulted, upon availability.
  • Is DialCare available to minors?

    Yes, you can access DialCare if you are under 18. Three-way conversations are available for parents or guardians who prefer to be involved in the conversation. When registering, participants under 18 will be asked to enter the parent or guardian's email address and date of birth to complete the process.
  • What languages does DialCare support?

    Consultations are available in both English and Spanish.
  • How much does a DialCare visit cost?

    There is no additional cost to access DialCare under your insurance plan.
  • Can I get a prescription through DialCare?

    No, prescriptions are not part of the DialCare plan, and the DialCare counselors cannot prescribe medication.
  • Can DialCare help with emergency crisis situations?

    If you are in a crisis situation, please call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at (800) 273-8255 for help. If a member calls DialCare during a crisis situation, their mental health professionals will stay on the line and transfer the member to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline for further help.
