Yes, the following services must always be pre-certified with the insurance company.
In the event of an emergency, services must be pre-certified within 48 hours, or as soon as reasonably possible. If services are not pre-certified per the policy requirements, there will be a 50% reduction in benefits.

For assistance finding in-network doctors, hospitals, or pharmacies, please contact Point Comfort directly for assistance. The contact details can be found on your insurance ID card.
By going in-network, the provider will be able to bill Point Comfort directly, so you won’t need to pay for your visit upfront. In-network providers are contracted with your insurance plan, so the visit will generally be less expensive than if you were to visit an out-of-network provider.
If you end up at an out-of-network doctor or hospital, you may need to pay for the expenses upfront at the time of your visit and then file a claim with Point Comfort to be reimbursed.
